I'm totally down with being worried about climate change, but I notice I haven't actually talked to anybody who disagrees with "climate change is real and/or bad", and I'd like to - if you're a climate change nonbeliever, pls argue for your position in response to this tweet!

They already got all the money in the world though. They print it themselves remember. They have no need for it in practicality, they're super rich as it is now. Doesn't mean they don't enjoy fleecing us of ours mind you, cause they certainly do. But power is their big thing.

Re: "why", IMHO TPTB know ol' time religion is dying, and with it the control over believers. Global Climate Alarmism targets that demographic (non-religious) to spur their behavior & voting along lines controlled by TPTB.

Also: for those wealthy but not connected to established fossil fuel extraction industry, how to channel Energy-Production $ in a direction they can profit from? Plug climate disaster & offer new-industry renewables (and get gov't subsidies!)

But to her point, why would they seek to regulate just for the sake of regulating or demonstrating their power? Why go through all that without a specific goal?
