When recruiting for surveys, I joined a lot of random FB groups with demographics I don't have access to... and now my FB wall is full of strange little worlds. I get to see old women taking astrology very seriously, men helping each other fix their cars, submissive housewives

counseling each other in how to better serve their husbands, a nearly entirely black singles/dating group, and some radical leftist groups with shared assumptions about reality that are incredibly far away from mine. If this sounds like your sort of thing, I recommend it.

I don't have regular subscriptions/memberships in such groups, but I often do one-time deep dives. Question: Do you ever talk back and inject your views, or do you just observe? And if you just observe, does that require conscious restraint on your part?
