When I was working for the startup trying to make a dating app for Korea, we had to learn a lot about Korean dating culture, which mostly boiled down to "friend networks for matchmaking are really important" and "maintain the appearance of conservative social propriety"

Kinda no? Online dating has picked up a lot in recent years and does not generally include meeting through friends
Online dating is more common, but more solid relationships I see are connected through friends. Friends know you better than an algorithm from a questionnaire, who would have thought? 🙄
