I personally don't 'get' what women mean when they talk about experiencing sexism and harassment and lack of safety - I don't relate to it or experience it very much, and I know some other women who agree. It's weird the disparity here, that some women report so much trouble...

It's actually very analogous. Both arguments are based on flawed logic. Using a lack of personal experience with a subject to draw a broad conclusion about the same. Identically formatted arguments 🤷‍♀️

It's not fair, being shot is astronomically more rare than sexism and harassment. Analogies are impressionistic and illustrative, if someone tries to use them as an explanation chances are it's a response to cognitive dissonance (changing the subject).
