Oh wow I didn't know that until 3 mins ago. Or who he was until 1 min ago. (Anyone else wondering: He's a beardy philosopher dude, and an alcoholic.)

After I went to my first 10 day meditation retreat I found out to my surprise that alcohol (which I hated) helps me meditate, as opposed to weed (which I loved) .
So when I discovered later Watts' alcoholism I was like "huh, I can get it".

Meh. We all succumb to the demands of neurochemistry in some way. Maybe he wanted to slow his mind down a bit.
