Does anybody know questions with answers that are highly correlated with IQ, but don't look like obvious IQ questions?

It depends on what you think "obvious IQ questions" are, but a battery of sensory tests, such as:
reaction time
color/hue discrimination (e.g. rank these 30 shades from red to blue)
weight discrimination (which of these objects are heaviest)
Pitch discrimination

No link but Mackintosh's "IQ and Human Intelligence" goes into the history of the modern understanding of IQ, how the measurements were developed, etc. (ch. 2 or 3, I think). Perf. on reaction time, verbal, rotation tasks, etc., all correlated, and used to compute g factor.
