As you might know, I've been super experimental with hygiene over the past few years. I've learned a lot! Hair: I stopped washing it nearly 4 years ago, and tried a lot of different alternatives - baking soda, olive oil, eggs, rye flour, hot water. By this point my solution is:

What quality does this give your hair?

What are the biggest benefits to quitting shampoo (other than saving $ + time)? My hair is addicted and I’m afraid to experiment

I used to use gel or wax to style my hair, and then wash it out every day with shampoo. But in either case is not fun to run my hands through my hair. Now I don't use any product. Just towel dry and style with fingers. Hair feels great. I rinse and scrub scalp with cold water.

Thanks for sharing! I did no-shampoo + hot water for a while, but found my hair regularly a bit too greasy for my liking, so I’m intrigued by the difference your rye flour method could make.
