IIRC there have been around 100 billion people who have ever lived. So for there to be more selfies than people, those alive today would need to take ~12.5 selfies on average in the past year. Doesn't seem crazy, but not obvious either.

I misestimated the ratio of living:ever alive, with 1:12.5 I think selfies lose out - given it's mostly young people and only certain cultures among those as well. I imagine some take dozens a day though so hard to estimate
