Very few men could be in relationships with multiple women even if they wanted, while a majority of women probably could date multiple men, so I’m gonna say women here

Would be interesting to see the gender breakdown of these votes. I'm a dude that voted women - I think male jealously would be a factor in less male satisfaction.

Women, just because they would be smarter about knowing whether they really wanted it or just thought they did

I’m surprised this poll is as close as it is. Would be interesting to know the gender composition of the voters.

what does "fully polyamourous" mean here?

I suspect that the basis of this question is skewed; my thought is that men don't bother to have a defined relationship to get multiple partners; they'll just do it. Thus women would be more likely than men to engage in relationships they would define as polyamorous.

This. Thus, I would suspect women report higher satisfaction rates. They ‘know’ what it is, structurally/intellectually, and therefore are able to consciously navigate the relationships. Men are polyamorous in a way that has nothing, or little, to do with “amore,” I’m guessing.

I think women generally, because it would be easier for them to find other partners, whereas males would be less successful. However, specifically in the cases where the man easily gets new partners, it *might* be the case that men would be more satisfied about the situation.
-
Any chance that easier access by females to sexual partners would be balanced by their weaker desire to seek?
