I've been tweeting nonbinary-skeptic stuff, and some of the responses make me want to clarify: Weird genderfeelings are valid. These people are not irrational, they're not lying for attention. Regardless of your view, we should take them seriously and respect their preferences.

I'm not conviced yet. All people have variance in their self-experience of gender, some more, some less; I disagree with "nonbinary" being a special thing requiring... anything special besides regular acceptance of people-as-they-are.

Small or big, my point (of view) is: it isn't separate. You don't need a special word for it, or make a special LGBTI* niche for it. It's similar to having different moods and still being the same person. And I think from previous tweets 's experience matches that.

I get why you do it, and - I don't do it. Just like I don't lie to comfort people. I want RL to improve, not foster pipe dreams. Similar with words: more made-up terms -> more confusion. More confusion -> less solution.
