for clarification: the third option 'only date half the time' means you'd only interact/date them while they're in the form of your preferred sex/gender; e.g., "I am attracted to women, and would see them whenever they're a woman with no issues"

Probably would be excited and intrigued at first (and would be eager to give it a try) but i bet the novelty would wear off.
the real money is in treatments to control novelty wearing off.

Depends more on how they think about it than whether they do it. I'm bi, but I use a genetic definition of sex/gender. Would likely try this technology, but the way I define things it couldn't make me female, just make me seem so. Still would be interesting.

I feel uncomfortable with anyone drastically altering their identity continually which I think is outside sexual preferences.
Calm down, I can't keep up. Why can't you get comfortable with who you are? It feels like you're avoiding yourself.

Do they just change the sex/gender, or ("drastically") also character, behaviour etc? That is, are they different personae, or just the same person with different genitals?

Having interacted (online) with an attractive lady who could believably appear as a man, I pick 3. I don't think, personality-wise, there's anything inherently wrong with spending time as "actual man" John Doe and as "actual woman" Jane Doe; but it wouldn't change my hetero-ness.
