Do you ever have concepts 'fade out'? The concept of 'soul' used to be one I used a lot, and now it's kinda dissolved - it's just not an object that shows up a lot in my processing. Similarly, 'love' has faded out for me, replaced by something like 'looking' or 'self-dissolution'

Love seems to boil down to a few things - it can be a warm feeling in my body and a movement towards the person. It can be an 'extension of self' - such that their success triggers the same feeling of my own success. It can be 'sight of awe', when they function as a divine mirror

No I definitely feel those, but I don't feel like the 'love concept' is adequate for the nuance there. When I feel warm feelings, I think "I feel warm feelings." When I recognize the divine, the word 'love' doesn't come up anymore. The love concept seems limiting in some ways.

I tend to grapple with this problem by redefining things until they apply to problems I was already thinking about. Soul is pretty useless as a term. But if you use it as a synonym for “essence” you can keep it. Maybe a good stopgap if you don’t want to commit to dissolution.
