Since its inception, the SEC has had one purpose and one purpose only: to identify and eliminate time travellers. People who build time machines try to get rich through stock trading, so the SEC watches the markets for anomalous trades. Its other functions are a cover for this.

Good news: liquid state machines are #quantum computers (aka reservoir computing). Bad news: quantum computing, like analog circuits, are bound by x̅, σ² and 1/ƛ. The cost of logN/ƛ savings in time is an Nσ² increase in variance. Bremermann's limit still holds.
