people from Atlanta as overly whiny - because that *is* how Seattleites would be if they acted like Atlanta people did, given the conditions in Seattle. There's just failure to consider the differences in basic conditions; if we did, everyone might seem a bit more reasonable.

Our perception is built from a ton of assumptions. Assumptions come from the sum of our experiences and biases. Because EVERYONE has a unique set of experiences and biases, they will also make different assumptions. This is true at any scale, zoom out more and it becomes obvious.

This kind hit home for me, people have sometimes accused me of being antisocial bc I don’t like going to bars, concerts, etc...
