Never lived through it but my immediate reaction is that it wouldnt be fair to the kid to now be like im not your dad all of this sudden. Peace kid..... As far as my relationship with her would go.... Probably ruined. I can imagine trust would likely be out the window.

This is a super complicated one since the child isn't to blame for the deceit and betrayal. It would certainly involve separation from the mother for me, which would probably indirectly mean less involvement with the child. I guess that falls under "develops limits."
