Homeless people make me feel kinda pro-slum. Like, if you've got a bunch of people who can't afford/function in normal housing and are sleeping in tents on the sidewalk, then we shouldn't let normal housing codes stop them from slapping together a shack somewhere.

I don’t ever want to have to decide for someone, but we will never solve the root of the problem by letting slums exist. Slums can be cleaned up and safe and still remain affordable if there is support to make that kind of investment worthwhile. I’ve seen it happen.

Tiny Homes can be built extremely cheaply, the only issue is cities don’t want them...they’d rather try to force the homeless to leave. Includes composting toilet, bed, solar light, windows and a locking door.
