Empathy for the hawk is callousness to the sparrow. Btw empathy and compassion are often confused as the same thing. Sometimes even pity gets thrown in the mix!

Honestly this could apply to modern day political causes. Specifically intersectionality & critical race theory. The overwhelming emphasis on sympathy towards certain groups whilst demeaning others has definitely led to some “sins” in the modern day.
