One conspiracy theory I enjoy is that feminism is a method where women shame men for pursuit/overly masculine behaviors, with the goal of weeding out the men too weak to disobey the women. All the guys who ignore the rules, get laid.
Another is that more women enjoy sexual submission than men enjoy sexual domination - the theory being that evolution reduced the 'sexual domination' numbers so that fewer men would have sex with more women, with the male subs functioning like 'gay uncles' - unlaid support
Another is that a woman gains status among other women when she complains about sexual assault/harassment; the more harassment you get, the sexier you are, and unattractive women gain disproportionate advantage from talking about harassment.
If anything, attractive women tend to be the instigators of verbal abuse being directed at other women. A way to stay at the top so to speak. Women engage in this more than men. Men sort out conflicts physically much more often than women
I don't think they're totally inaccurate. I think they're a 'bad frame,' as in they way oversimplify and imply that people have consciously bad motivations. But the world works in weird ways, and people often develop behaviors that benefit them without them realizing it.
The nature of female dominance hierarchies are poorly understood, but one thing we can be sure of is that in social species you can never have too much signalling.
I call these “phlogiston theories”:
profoundly wrong about how the world works, but just effective enough in making useful predictions that they win some people over
