So your argument is it’s hypocritical to believe in any paternalizing laws of the government if you don’t believe in every paternalizing law? Doesn’t seem at al logically inconsistent to have a line and believe in nuance to me

My argument is that relying on simplistic arguments tends to result in conclusions that are weird

They’re usually not for the draft anymore since they can be drafted as well now.

You lost me on suicide prevention, regulated opiates, & mandatory vaccinations.

What I like about Aella is that she is not going to advocate for a simple principle to arbitrate all sorts of complicated questions, but points out that simple principles might be inadequate to do that

I think this is a bad interpretation of “my body my choice”. It’s more about the fact that laws affecting women are generally made without the input of women. It should be “my body, I should have input”. They are all about informed decision making no?

If a woman can choose to abort her child why can't she also choose to kill herself? Why would she be institutionalized for it?
Replying to
Getting an abortion kills at most the fetus living inside of you. Not getting vaccinated can and will kill many more people than just you and yours. I think the last two items on your list do not belong.

If you're pro-choice, implicitly you cannot be pro-vaccine mandate and pro-abortion. The list is about moral consistency, not your feelings.
Also, how many people have died to omicron?
