The term "liberal" means a completely different thing in the US and in my country. Here in Spain it represents right wing people supporting an unrestricted capitalism, while in the US the liberals are the leftists, aren't they?
I guess I'm between liberal and communist then.

Liberal in the British, rather than the American sense of the word. In the us Liberal means socialist, it seems, over here Liberals are centrists

As a European, the American political spectrum is just different, and seems very slanted to the right.
I find the Political Compass method more intuitive and reasonable for assessing someones orientation.
