The claim that this is really about controlling women's bodies is horseshit. It's a side effect, not the main goal. It's just super easy to take unflattering side effects and point at it and scream loudly THIS IS WHAT YOU WANTED ALL ALONG, YOU VILLAINS
This is a fair critique! But it's not a critique about abortion, it's a critique about conservative values being more on independence and less on care and empathy.

For me it's clear: the economy practised in the USA is not sustainable unless the population of the US keeps growing at a steady rate. It has the highest population growth of all developed countries. And everything, from education to religion is geared to that.

Aella, if you're going to split hairs in your argument, allow me to split hairs in my response. Conservative Values and Pro-Life activism are linked and cannot be separated on this issue. If you are against Sex Ed, Planned Parenthood, Family Planning. (P1)

And social programs for at-risk women, your are Pro-Forced Birth, not Pro-Life. If you want to work with me to reduce abortions (at a 50-year low) and improve American pre-natal care, I'm all ears. I certainly do not want to kill babies. (P2)
