I'm in favor of it, yet IQ is mainly a party trick number. If you're not raised in a nurturing, expansive, intellectually positive environment, that high IQ won't matter.

I'm pretty sure it matters, just it's not the only thing that matters. If Bob and Joe are both raised in shitty, terrifying environments, Bob with a 135 IQ is still gonna have better average outcomes than Joe with a 90 IQ.

In germany there's a debate about wether early diagnostics for down syndrome should be covered by insurance. Killing a fetus and making a new one isn't the same thing, but it does improve Intelligence significantly.
