Killing is wrong. The fact that it is government sanctioned does not make it right. Also, far too many innocent people are convicted of capital offenses.

I am against governments deciding to kill people. A Government should be better than murder. I also believe that by some actions it is possible for a human to forfeit their right to exist. And am totally fine with those people being killed. So... It's a conundrum.

It's difficult. I believe certain people absolutely deserve it but also worry mistakes will be made and people will wrongly be put to death. If we could be 100% certain that no one was wrongly killed, then I'm for it. I just don't know if we can trust the state to do that.

From my opinion it should be used only as a lat resort in extreme cases. Here, extreme is meant as "crimes like murder, mass-murder, rape (in the old sense of the term)" with no other way to permanently stop the offender in question from repeating their crimes again and again."
