I have this core belief that if you just are compassionate and genuine enough, you can have a vulnerable conversation with anybody. I think this is why conversations with SJWs are so upsetting to me; they really threaten that core belief and it makes me feel unstable. Send hugs?

God I just had a FB exchange and now my heart rate is up and I feel really sad. I like to think I could handle a potential dump of internet hate but honestly idk if one convo is all it took to make me so upset.

That's a good idea. Mostly I end up doing circling stuff - "when you say that I feel sad. I would like to connect with you but I don't know how" - but they are not responsive to this even a little bit. Questions seem like a good next attempt, once I recover from this one.
