Patriarchy and Matriarchy are plain stupidity in quest for power.
Patriarchy subjugated females and males enjoyed the power while not realizing that service and companionship from a mere "subject" is less worthy than cooperation from a respected equal, and subjugation takes work.

Good insights and writing. Men instinctively protect and pedestalize women across all cultures, because they're the bottleneck of reproduction. The standard narrative of patriarchal oppression is naive. Men were also oppressed and women have always held power.
