Honesty and knowing that subconscious racism has created certain traits in oneself that are from a stereotypical racist perspective.

I have felt this way for a while. We all have prejudices and preconceived notions. That is a survival strategy. However, it's up to you whether they govern your actions and how you treat others.

Even subconscious bias is often falsely attributed to racism. If I see a "brown" person in Mexico and start talking to the person in Spanish without any conscious evaluation of whether if that person speaks Spanish, am I a racist?
-
We had similar responses. If anyone answers 'no' to your question, would it make any difference if your decision to speak Spanish was intentional instead of conscious?

It’s entirely possible that 21% of people, accidentally tapped “yes” while trying to scroll... is that too optimistic?

Imagine you're offered a reward for correct answers to a guessing game. You are shown faces alongside racial stereotypes. If you apply a rep. heuristic like "People with Chinese features are more likely to speak Mandarin than people without", should you say 'Yes' to this poll?
-
I personally don't use the word racism for that.
