Have you ever had the experience of getting on a plane and realizing you have no idea what country you're in during the layover and your data isn't working and you're too embarrassed to ask anybody and eventually you just fly out without ever knowing where you were?

I used to work for a hotel corporation. We were upgrading systems in hotels and I hit every hotel this company owned between Cincinnati OH and Bangor ME. About a month in. Id tape a piece of paper on the mirror with the city and state so I knew where I was right when I woke up

No. I’m too much of a control freak to let that happen. Even if there was nothing I could do to change it, I would have to know where I was. Personality flaw? Maybe. But, I would need to know.

Not exactly like that. I once flew from Los Angeles expecting a refueling in Honolulu, and then had another in Fiji that I didn’t expect.
