What's the difference between 'cis by default' and 'agender'?

Agender, genderqueer, genderfluid, demiboy, demigirl, etc. are all attempts by people to find something comfortable for them when they've realized they're not comfortable with their assigned gender but wouldn't be comfortable with the opposite either.

I wish I would find a explanation of this phenomenon that really satisfies me. I have the feeling to never really understand those matters.

Why not just say "genderless" because "agender" sounds stupid? Consider: "atypical" means "not typical". "Agender" would, following that form, mean "not gender" which, again, is stupid, because gender is a noun -- it should be "agendered" but again again, sounds stupid.

Firstly, and most importantly, jesus christ let people decide for themselves how they want to be described. Secondly, nouns get converted to adjectives in the English language all the fucking time. We say "amoral" not "amoraled," and "atheist" as well as "atheistic." Get over it
