I'm at ! I haven't been involved in the political side of psychedelic at all and so this is really fascinating. The general discourse swings extremely left (bordering on social justice) on the culture spectrum, which for some reason isn't what I expected.

Ok I think another thing that bothers me is that there doesn't seem to be a sense that they're self aware of this. It feels like there's a heavy, invisible narrative in the room. I could be wrong though, maybe I haven't spoken to enough people yet.

Perhaps they are not aware of an ideological debate that you are well steeped in and use to inform your world view. I think that there are many people you would call SJWs and assume a certain set of beliefs from who are completely unaware of that rhetorical context.

I'm not attached to the term social justice, I'm happy to use any term that works. I do see these traits with disproportionate frequency in people who are active in social justice, which is why I think the two things are so often conflated. Other groups do it too though!
