This one is way too vague. So many free parameters on both the crime and the accusation.

Men who are falsely accused usually have their lives ruined and sometimes even go to jail. Men will choose the rape option. Women who are accused of rape usually get off lightly in comparison, because of female privilege. Women will choose the accused option.

Interesting question. I'm not sure, but maybe the latter. I asked my boyfriend, he said probably the former. Society definitely doesn't treat the situations the same.

I've already had my share of false accusations of just generalized creepiness, don't need to get any closer to that issue.
