I'm thinking more continued social engagement - so like, taboo jobs (drug dealing, prostitution, sex therapy) moreso than "I am suuuper into taking super closeup photos of stranger's shoes"

Without concrete data, I'd theorise that general intelligence (or rather, mental ability) bears little relation to career choice. More prevalent factors are circumstance and willingness, or perhaps even community.
