I almost answered that the practice should be legal, but changed my mind, because pricing by gender - or any biological factor outside of our control - is bad practice. If black men or homosexual women were greater risks, should they be charged more?

I'm not sure this is an all or nothing situation. Should age be off limits too? I think think age should definitely be allowed. Race definitely shouldn't. Gender/sex - I think yes, but I could see an argument to the contrary.

It's already illegal in the EU.

In medical insurance premium is more for female than male, whereas in life insurance the male is more. The poll should ask for the 'ethical' perspective not the 'legal' because the there are debates between the religion-based with the conventional though not on the gender bias.
-
It sort of is asking an ethical question. It’s asking if something “should be” legal

I voted Male / no because I believe car insurance should be the same price for everyone. And a cheap price, like about 10% of what it is today.
-
Premiums won't cover what the insurers have to pay out in that case. And, frankly, I don't want to pay the same premium as someone that has crashed their car three times and put two people in wheelchairs while doing so.
