Many plant psychedelics were indigenous ceremonial tools used to enhance tribal bonds though. Also, the identity destroying property is a double edged sword in situations where you don't have a community to remind you who you are.

I'm more concerned that those groups ultimately believing a bunch of new age bullshit. Every damn time. Ultimately these people are why we can't have nice things. Psychedelic use needs to be approached with skepticism by productive people. Not credulity by bums.
