My friends tend to use 'muggles,' which I take to be a less bad-feeling way of saying the same thing.

No, for the same reason I don't use sportsball. It is incredibly condescending to assume superiority over another group because of their life choices as long as those choices don't involve oppression. I happily say racist for example
