The SJW mind virus is really scary because it's spreading - and it's spreading because it's evolved to a point where it's become immune the standard antibiotic arguments. Its success is due to its adaption to pressures - empathy and reason - that killed what preceded it.

e.g., I once tried to put myself on the same side of a SJW, thus trying to defeat her 'you are an enemy' defenses. I argued we both meant to do good. But her mindvirus was ready - built into it was the pattern of resistance to identifying with me under any conditions.

The SJW mindvirus is loaded with a handy "Power = wrong" trick, which among other things, neutralizes the need to actually grapple with any arguments made from someone with power. All the previous iterations of SJW that didn't include this facet, died out.

this whole assault on the SJW straw man is just a way for the privileged and lucky to feel good about maintaining their privilege and luck.

I've written articles arguing in favor of acknowledging privilege, and I'm using the term SJW because I don't know of a better one. I can make up a new term if that helps - "New Religion". I have a conception of the type of mentality that makes up New Religion.

I hopelessly don't know what you are talking about. Can you give me some examples of individuals who fit this criteria in your eyes?

The thing that triggered this post was a friend on a broken down bus who was trying to make women feel comfortable peeing on the side of the road and suggested getting off by gender. She was then silently ostracized by the entire group and had her talk canceled.

This is a pattern that I've seen in a certain type of community, and have had similar experiences myself. I don't know what word is best to give that community.

So you are generalizing from one odd experience to say that a new religion of naive destructive do-gooders is coming to get us?

Sometimes I have one odd experience. But I'm not totally insane or stupid, and I'm pretty sure in some circles there is a spreading type of aggressive mentality that seems to be making people act like this. I can see how it might seem silly if you've never experienced it.

I am not saying you are any of those things, but I also don't know what u are on about. Feels like this sjw thing is a meme with nothing behind it. Do you consider Vandana Shiva, Bill McKibben, Naomi Klein to be sjws?
