We did it. We defended the post-ACA status quo in healthcare for two years while the held all of the levers of power – we largely fought them to a standstill. The disability community – the entire disability community – did this.

  2. Storytelling is how we humanize public policy. It's what saved the ACA. It's what did with Jeff Flake on that elevator. It's what brought us the original Progressive movement. More please.

  3. The last thing Democrats need in 2020 is a candidate who reaches out to Wall Street for support. We need a nominee who's going to destroy the power of finance -- not subordinate themselves to do it. This should be a line in the sand for all Democrats.

It’s great to have remind people that every piece of moderate common sense is the hard-won legacy of dead radicals who were regarded in their times as dangerous & wrong.

Why not use eminent domain and tear it down? Seems like it’d be an obvious political winner in New York.

  16. And I'd wrap up the day with a disruptive protest in the Senate. The Republican Party is a morally repugnant, evil force that is destroying our planet and our people. Resistance is beautiful. And so is democracy!

  17. I'd be in the House gallery as @NancyPelosi takes the gavel again. My first job out of college was on a long shot race as part of the wave that brought Dems to power in 2006. So grateful to have been able to do a small part again this year. Make us proud, Madame Speaker!
