      For the avoidance of doubt, I do NOT think Rey is a ‘Mary Sue’. The point was... if someone is going to get all silly about what a hero in a sci fi movie about space wizards does, take a look at a New Hope! 😉

      yeah... a lot of people forget how "simple" the original Star Wars movies were, especially A New Hope. A lot of silly stuff going on. I feel many people just take it way too serious. This is why I love the Screenrant Pitch Meeting videos that burn through any nostalgia glasses.

          U asked for silly, not absurd. Also, yes I like the Pitch Meeting videos and I'm 38. And a lot of people, probably more than just dumb 17 year olds like the videos looking at the comments and likes. Also, it's meant as lighthearted entertainment. All movies have flaws/errors.
