Step 1: Choose a unique/original idea.
If you don’t have one in mind there are plenty of people out there with great ones you can hire to help you come up with something truly groundbreaking.

Lulz, Just skim read it and I feel like I just made a joke you've already done.
-
The funniest part is that my guide actually shows how I've been developing games for half of my gamedev life. I ended up making this monstrosity:https://adriendittrick.itch.io/9-10-do-nightmare …
-
Wow, you copped out and released an unfinished game? Sellout. /s
-
Ah no this one is actually finished and i'm never touching it again X) there are a few people attempting to make a sequel though.
-
Heh. I should have included a tweet about scoping big, made a reference to making an MMO or something early. I did it at the end in the looking forward tweet, but I think it was too late then
-
Ah I delved into the mmo problem once. Ended up making something more like a shared-space single server game. Good thing i had never more than 5 players at any given time otherwise the thing would crash. Scope is not my friend :p

Scope is the enemy of all indies. Someone in the
@GameDevLeague discord just brought up that I forgot to cover naming in my guide. I dont think you touched on it either -
Ah true I didn't. Knock yourself out :)
