I don't even know where to start on this ignorant bullshit. A "beautiful garden" doesn't just magically happen. It requires time, tools, and knowledge. https://twitter.com/AyrenJames/status/991755241795141632 …

Oh God and then someone replied to her saying poor people in rural areas don't garden. Which is sort of true because the poor people I know who grow food do it on a fairly large scale and it's not "beautiful"

I don't know a single affluent person in my area who seriously puts into growing food. But before my next door neighbor got heavy into heroin I used to trade him animal products for tomatoes. Because I'm really bad at tomatoes and he was really good at them.

He's dead of a heroin overdose now in a grimy hotel room down in Opal and I'm gonna have to figure out tomatoes because I can't trade meat and eggs for them anymore.

...it's weird the holes people leave when the fentanyl-tainted heroin eats them. We weren't close but we were neighborly. I'll miss him.

gosh the times that me and my family grew what food we could in our climate and soil when I was young took so much time and effort and that was a small amount of food too :/
