@ThisIsKnit I'm thinking about making a pair of socks with some of that hand-dyed yarn that you sell. How many hanks would I need to make a pair of socks for a man with average sized feet? I thought maybe 1 and a half but I wasn't sure.

If you’re knitting in 4ply then a single 100g skein should be enough for an average pair of feet :) Was there a particular skein you had your eye on?

I was planning on making socks to hit mid calf or so, would that still be enough? And I hadn’t decided on a colour, but I wanted something bright.

It might be a good idea to grab a second skein then, but keep it unwound and wrapped up safe. If you don’t end up using it then (within a reasonable time frame) you can exchange the skein against yarn for your next project. (And we can do bright - no problem
