What is the process in dating a rock? I don't mean really how old a stone is but how long it was used? Is this possible?

I'm just kind of surprised that no one has bothered to try and date the stone on the Hill of Tara. But maybe it is impossible idk

@Octavius404 see this is particularly funny to me b/c it is possible that a king had to symbolically marry the rock.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@Octavius404 basically there are a few irish tales of kings "marrying" goddesses and the stone may have represented the goddess.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -
