Didn't really end up meeting people. Chatted mostly with people from my course. 9 people are in it and everyone but 3 are American.

Most of these people have only taken one or two medieval history courses. Latin was inaccessible for them as well.

And I found out today from one of the PhD students who is colloquially known as "Medieval John" that the person who teaches Latin is bad.
