As per my discussion about folk music earlier, I think that it is important to note the centering of white ppl in music in general...
I mean when you listen to a lot of folk music, not many people know who wrote the originals. They are listed as "traditional"

Which is fine I suppose in that they are very old songs and people weren't necessarily keeping track but I gotta wonder
