I do wish I could go back in time and demand that Rudolf Thurneysen give me more specific info about this text. I also know that dating Old Irish texts is a tricky business but I just really hate it when they say “early forms”. Like what early forms??? EXPLAIN.
As far as I can tell with my extremely bad Old Irish and looking at some other stuff seems to be that it preserves -th instead of -d, the use of “inna” (maybe?) and also the appearance of “macchu” but again I have no idea how accurate my criteria are.

The context for this is a possible 8th c text, Thurneysen said there is an early stratum to the text which I think is legitimate but for whatever reason this text isn’t very popular so I think I am one of 4 people in the last 30 years who has written on it/studied it at length.

But I can’t really rock up to the Irish department at TCD and demand someone date the text for me lol.
