If universities were advertising their experience during a pandemic as being the same as it was pre-March 2020, then that is on uni leadership. It should not be framed against online teaching.

There are elements of physical learning that come with certain degrees, which I also understand. But it was a pandemic. I don't want to say that people should have expected that stuff to be curtailed.

At my own institution, the students' union was demanding F2F teaching while TAs (PhD students) would have had to deal with unsafe conditions, antimaskers, no ventilation. The provost was demanding F2F too until the government said otherwise.
