Really? A Canadian is trying to start a fight over "y'all", calling it "Bastardized US English"? Ok look. Here's what we're not gonna do. We're not gonna be shits about regional dialects.
Where I'm from in Canada, y'all is pretty commonly used as well. Possibly because there are strong and persistent ties with Texas where I'm from but yeah. It's a great word.

Found the thread and they just characterized the use of y'all in my province as US culture taking over as if we didn't have a massive influx of Black people into the prairies from the States in the late 19th and early 20th c that brought with them ranching and stuff too...sigh.
