My controversial skin-care opinion is that oil cleansing is garbage for acne prone skin, and seeing people promote it for people with acne makes me actually very angry.

If it worked for you, great. But chemical exfoliators and cleansers are not evil and I hate how stuff that isn’t “natural” is somehow worse for your skin. My skin looks better than it has in years and it’s due to a chemical exfoliator I started using.

And while many oils may be non-comodegenic that doesn’t mean they will not harm your skin. Especially since a lot of these oils are not overly processed, so you may even be allergic or sensitive to the ingredients and that may be causing problems too.

In any event, “natural” doesn’t equal better and oil isn’t the only thing that dissolves oil (which is the ethos behind oil cleansing I guess?)
