If it worked for you, great. But chemical exfoliators and cleansers are not evil and I hate how stuff that isn’t “natural” is somehow worse for your skin. My skin looks better than it has in years and it’s due to a chemical exfoliator I started using.
My controversial skin-care opinion is that oil cleansing is garbage for acne prone skin, and seeing people promote it for people with acne makes me actually very angry.

And while many oils may be non-comodegenic that doesn’t mean they will not harm your skin. Especially since a lot of these oils are not overly processed, so you may even be allergic or sensitive to the ingredients and that may be causing problems too.

In any event, “natural” doesn’t equal better and oil isn’t the only thing that dissolves oil (which is the ethos behind oil cleansing I guess?)

THIS. I hate watching influencers just straight-up squeeze HUGE amounts of oil (like, 3 uses worth) on their faces for a "super normal acne routine". It's A.) a waste of product and B.) going to make acne prone skin worse/oversaturate dry skin bc it can only absorb so much.
