I really asked for a pasta machine for my birthday. I really said ‘you know that really easy 10 min thing I struggle to do because I have chronic fatigue? What if it took 5 hours instead?’

It wasn't really worth it in the end... I think dried supermarket pasta is... perfectly fine? Maybe homemade will be good for if I wanted to stuff it with something like with ravioli

it's a little more pricey, but (at least in the US and Italy) when i feel fancy i'll get fresh pasta at the supermarket - for an every once in a while treat, it's worth it.

Gnocchi is the devil's work. If you want quick pasta from a machine you need it heavy in egg yolk and light in flour.
