I have had a very hard time during this pandemic between fearing getting COVID and worrying about my family, especially my parents. My mother works in supply chain and thus is an essential worker and my father has a heart condition for which he is having surgery soon.

I managed to go through UK's "Right to Choose" for PsychiatryUK on the NHS. If you do live in UK at any point, definitely take that route. It's a shame how people don't understand how arduous getting a diagnosis is, and how necessary self-diagnosis is for our sanity!

I now take medication, and even though its a stimulant it makes me sleepy! Apparently, that can serve as further evidence for the diagnosis so there's little doubt I have it. But, I did self-diagnose while I waited/sought out one. After all, who else knows our brains better?

I do think PsychiatryUK see anyone from anywhere in the world, it just so happens that the diagnosis appointment would cost £360, rather than free on NHS. But they are video-based so if you do happen to get access to funds, I'd recommend.

I will probably go through a psych in Ireland so I can establish a link here. It would also likely be less than £360, but its still expensive.
